The gaps aren't where you'd expect
EquiMap analysed all 361 Greater Sydney communities with 335 real fire stations. In this demonstration the areas furthest from help, Bilpin, Dural, Galston, are premium semi-rural fringe, not the inner-city modest suburbs the conventional model predicts.

Coverage equity is directional
In metro Sydney, dense modest suburbs are well covered, while premium fringe areas show the gaps. In rural Australia the pattern can reverse. You cannot assume the direction, which is exactly why it is worth measuring per service, per place.
